I really hate to give this review. I have used this office for a long time. Around 20 years to be exact. I have never had a bad experience with this office or any of the providers prior to this. I delivered 2 babies with you guys and many of the staff felt like family. I had an email reminder that my pap smear was overdue. I realized it had been about a year and a half so I scheduled my appt online. I just chose an appointment that worked with my work schedule and didn't mind seeing someone new. I know everyone practices differently. My experience in the past has been that the Dr/provider would come in the room and talk with me first, prior to having me get naked on the table (especially if it was the first time were meeting). That's okay, I can get over that. I figured well this will be quick and get it done. I did not expect to sit on that table for over 30 minutes. Again, I am in the medical field and know that things happen and I understand that. He walked in, barely looked and me, said his name and just asked why I was there. I explained that I was just due to update my pap smear. He asked when I last had it done and I told him last April. I could sense that he didn't think I needed to be there so I further explained that I had an abnormal pap in the past and was told I would need annual pap smears. He said well I don't know if you will need to continue doing that if this one is normal but I will check on the ACOG recommendations. He didn't ask anything about my history. He just asked "any concerns?" I said no but to be honest it didn't feel like he was open to hearing any concerns as I felt like an inconvenience to be there. I feel bad to leave this review and almost deleted this but I realize Dr. Anzavino is young and early in his career and sometimes you need to know how you made someone feel to correct these things in the future.
