Long waiting

Everyone treated me wonderful. The doctor and nurse was very thorough. My experience was great.

They gave me a same day appointment for an urgent medical problem and were very proactive about my illness and took my needs and health concerns very seriously. The nurse who checked me in went over all of my medications to make sure my list was up to date and verified and then corrected the name of my preferred pharmacy. I felt that my complaints were comprehensively addressed and that Mary Lawrence was truly concerned about my feelings and physical health. I ended up needing to be admitted to the hospital and this process was handled very smoothly by Mary. She directly called the admitting doctor to discuss my case and to ensure that I would receive the proper care. Melissa Peeler came in to see me the next day in the hospital to examine me and explain how the team would manage me while in the hospital. The entire experience eased my fears and made me feel very confident in my GI healthcare team and plan of care.

If this is what it takes

This was my first appointment with Mary Lawrence. I liked her immediately. She was friendly, down to earth and very willing to explain things I did not understand. It was obvious to me that she cares about her profession and likes helping people. I feel like she is one more medical professional I am glad to have helping me care for my health.

A phone call would have been less frustrating and more efficient.

Unfortunately, the woman at the front desk who checked me in needs a reality check. She seemed very bothered by my presence, and I thought at one point she was going to break the sliding glass with her aggressive behavior and never once smiled. I felt intimated to ask her any questions, i.e., where the ladies' room was, how long would the wait be? So I asked another receptionist who was more kind.

Being listened to means so much, that do that extremly well here. Glad this is my Dr!

Mary Lawrence was very concerned about most of my GI issues & weight loss. She took time to review some of my meds (cross reference them for side affects. etc) & gave me a couple of possibilities. She's a very conscientious, compassionate & personable/professional PA & I trust her completely, as I do Dr. Opper!! The staff there are all kind, personable & try to meet your needs. I've recommended Dr. Opper & Mary Lawrence to many family members as well as friends. Thank you!

I didn't have to wait long at all and was seen in a timely manner.

Mary was wonderful, she explained everything in complete detail and spent the time necessary to discuss my issues, she is the consummate pro.

I felt extremely comfortable throughout my appointment and my provider was very knowledgeable and explained everything thoroughly.

I waited 3 months to get a 10 minute visit and then have to wait another 3 months for a procedure even though my condition poses a higher risk for a certain type of cancer. I felt like I was in a big GI machine, but I've been to the other practice and it's the same.
