From a young age, I had a strong interest in science and a deep desire to help others. My passion for medicine began in high school when I took an anatomy and physiology class; I was instantly hooked on learning how the human body works.

In high school a soccer injury to my shoulder required surgery. A physician assistant I met during that time provided excellent care while also encouraging me to explore the medical field.
