I thought it starnge that the nurse came rushing out into the waiting room and asked me to sign a piece of paper and then gave me a clipboard to fill out a long form about life style habits etc. Nothing about any off these papers was discussed with me. I wish I had made her wait for me to read the first paper quickly shoved at me. I am requesting a copy of the paper for my own information. Anyway, the nurse went over meds with me and I told her not to refill until I call her because it messed up CVS. Upon leaving room he said, "you just call when you need , okay?" Then Dr Arains came in very pleasant and listened to heart and lungs and told me I looked great and I told her the meds Clonipin and Remeron prescribed for my panic were used only a few times over the last four months and I did not need more refills, in fact I had enough of all my pills and she did not need to call in more. She was very kind and said she was having labs done for "cholesterol and A1C. At checkout they said she wants to see me in three months. She had not told me that as usually it is every six months. Lady said there was no reason given and made appointment. Which I have canceled. My labs came back and Dr Arain said the were great in her comments back to me and "continue your meds". Then I read her "summary" and was really upset because it said I was an overdose risk!!!! I resent such a comment being put into my record. I do not understand it and want it removed! Then I began to read past remarks and it reads like I am a woman with "a slow gait" and with "serious health issues". My other physicians always comment on my great physical condition and tell me to keep on walking my 2/3 miles daily and say "continue doing what you are doing" as I am in very good shape for my age. I want to change my physician now as I feel betrayed . I want to contest her summary and I will have a letter inserted in my file contesting her summary. Also the summary says a plan for future treatment was discussed and a copy given to me. No such discussion took place. I told Dr Arain that I had only used four pills for severe anxiety in four months and same with Remeron for insomnia . After my appointment she had all my meds called in for refills after I told her and nurse not to call any in. When they do that CVS questions why and calls my insurance company who denies the refills until more time has passed. It creates a big mess for me. In other words, Hust like in the old days, please let me just refill shortly before Icrun out of pills.I complained to Dr Arain ion comments that I was upset with several things and resented the casual use of "at risk for overdose" and no explanation of forms. I also tried to get her to understand that I am a Nedicare Oart A person and have no part B and my husband's BCBS Federal is and has been for decades so we do not have supplemental Advantage plans. She said everyone has to have Medicare Wellness exams. No we federal employee BCBS people do not. My husband goes to same practice but different doctor and has not had Wellness Exams. Bottom lineafter seven years as her patient I will be finding a new provider.
This visit caused me to go back and review my medical records from previous visits. I was astonished to see certain information that wasn't factual! Questions that weren't asked of me, but were in my medical report. This is very disheartening As I thought I had an excellent primary care physician. I will now be looking for another one!
Very disappointed at my visit I want to have someone that understands me not send me for unnecessary tests without trying to help me first and guide me Instead to scare me and not understand that let's see if we can reverse fatty liver levels I hope this can be resolved that how I feel or anyone else would of someone you want to trust with your care and listen to you
I have recommended my doctor to others because she is a good listener.
Absolutely appreciate Dr. Arain for her compassion and professionalism
