About

Before I became a physician assistant, I was a certified athletic trainer. While training athletes, I realized I wanted to do more to help people. Becoming a physician assistant gave me the path to achieving that, and it was during school that I discovered family medicine was the perfect specialty for me. This field allows me to not only build relationships with individual patients but also get to know the whole family in many cases.

Dr. Layton is amazing. I never dread coming to the doctor because it is like seeing a friend that really cares for me and does not mind encouraging me and telling me the truth. She reminds me of what I am capable of concerning my weight and never pushes me to follow a path that I don't want. However, she is serious about making sure I am healthy and armed with correct information. I'm thankful I found her.
