Excellent doctor. Took the time to understand my priorities and to explain his thoughts.

Tom explained the nature of my problemWhile leaving ultimate treatment to my cardiologist, he went over the alternative treatments as well as the limitation of each.

Dr. Barringer and his staff are among the best anywhere in Charlotte. I have an odd insurance plan which they could not find on their computer during check in. Rather than having me wait and delay my check in as has happened at many other practices, they checked me in and allowed me to see the doctor while the contacted my insurance company. When I check out after my visit, they had solved my insurance issue. Dr. Barringer is a gem. He presented his concerns about my jabs and I presented my concerns about our current treatment plan. He’s extremely knowledgeable, a good listener and worked with me to formulate new treatment plan. Charlotte is fortunate to have a lipid specialist of his caliber and caring.

Each member of the healthcare team - the woman who checked me in whose name I can?t recall; Suzie who took my history after taking me to the exam room; Dr. Barringer; his nurse; and Lizzy who checked me out, was exceptionally professional, efficient and dedicated. Dr. Barringer was precisely on time, he had familiarized himself with my history and diagnostic tests, was informative, answered all my questions and is clearly an expert in cardiology and lipid management. Unlike many physicians who look at their computer screen while asking questions, Dr. Barringer looked at me throughout my visit. I have never had such a comprehensive and caring experience with a physician.
