Dr. Friedman is excellent and I trust him completely but the system that I am not happy with. I needed to see him urgently, called the office, explained why I was calling and was told that he had no availability until December and that I should try to see my primary care doctor. My primary care doctor (not affiliated with Novant) came through for me since her office always has a PA or Nurse Practitioner to see emergency patients. They ordered a series of tests, worked diligently to get them done the same day and I gave copy of the results to Dr. Friedman. I contacted the office one more time via MyChart and finally was able to see him 12 days after I felt sick. It is a shame that the system is set up in such a way that we can’t see a doctor who we trust when we need it, or that no PA is available at the office. I guess the system cares more about profits than the patients.

He explained what the scans revealed in terms that I understood. 2. He showed me every scan and explained where the kidneys, bladder and prostrate were and their purposes. 3. He showed me on the wall chart where all the organs were and where my issues were. 4. He explained everything in detail in “layman terms “ so that my wife I were fully able to understand. Dr. Friedman made the entire exam and visit so calming. I was very nervous to say the least. I highly recommend Dr. Friedman and will be back.
