About

My career started as an elementary school teacher. After several years of teaching, I decided I wanted a career with more flexibility, which would allow me to spend more time with my family. The desire to help people led me to healthcare. I knew that I wanted to continue to work with infants and children. I discovered my passion in labor and delivery. After nearly two decades as a labor, delivery and postpartum nurse, I continued my education to become a certified nurse midwife.
