I was so comfortable with her knowledge and explanation of her every move and touch. I really appreciated the communication.

The doctor was very helpful and answered all my questions. It was easy to understand.

At first Dr. Porter seemed very brusque and hurried. But I was pleased he first spoke with me while I was still dressed - I think it makes patients feel dehumanized if the first interaction is while disrobed.I was very impressed with his knowledge, thoroughness, consideration and proposed course of action. He gave me ample time to absorb all the information, and asked if I understood everything. I am 74 years old; I don't have dementia but I don't think fast and can get muddled, especially with new information. He provided written material I could take my time digesting. The proposed course of treatment provides alternatives to medications or surgery - I can try more conservative treatments before jumping right into something aggressive. And, Dr. Porter called me the next day to see if I had any questions. I believe it was consideration for my slight confusion with all the new material. That has never happened before - I was very impressed and appreciate his consideration.

Not only did he not tell me absolutely anything about my treatment, he also spoke to me with a lot of lack of education, he told me verbatim "how are you going to say that you didn't know that I had kidney stones?" And when I replied that not only did no one tell me but they never provided me with treatment, he practically pushed me out of his office.
