My mother's long nursing career was very rewarding for her, and seeing her fulfillment from helping others inspired me to become a nurse.
I started my career at Novant Health more than 15 years ago as a nursing assistant. After earning my bachelor's degree in nursing, I worked in the neonatal intensive care unit before returning to school for a master's degree in nursing.
