I grew up on the Jersey Shore and went to Pennsylvania State University, where I earned a bachelor's degree in life science with a minor in nutrition. From there, I went on to earn a master's degree in biomedical sciences from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. I then completed four years of medical school at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, which led me to Charlotte for my pediatric residency at Levine Children's Hospital.
