Enjoyed the visit

NP very helpful

I understand the desire to not prescribe benzodiazepines for anxiety. I get it. I am also a healthcare provider. However, from my first visit I have felt like I'm being treated like a junky by asking for meds that work for me that I use very seldom. I was prescribed meds that were no effective and had bad side effects. Then at my last visit when I came in to discuss other options I was prescribed a slow acting anxiolytic for a prn med. It takes weeks for buspirone to build up in the system. It is NOT for PRN use. When I left that day I felt written off, frustrated, and even shed some tears for how I was made to feel like a drug seeker from the first visit. For reference, I was previously prescribed 0.5mg Xanax for prn use. I have had this prescription for 3 years. I have refilled it once. I truly use it as needed very seldom, but that didn't seem to matter.
