My dad was a physician and my mom was a nurse, so I have been surrounded by the medical field my whole life. I became interested in math and science very early on, and initially thought I would like to be a teacher. Eventually, I followed my parents into the medical field because I realized medicine would allow me to help patients with their medical problems while teaching them how to lead healthier lives.
