While I am technically a Charlotte native, I spent most of my youth in Austria and Australia. I have always loved science, and at the age of 16 I was able to start volunteering at a local rescue squad which spurred my interest in medicine. After graduating college and while applying to medical school, I worked as a medical assistant at an OB-GYN clinic.
