I arrived on the incorrect day. The staff worked me in so I did not have to come back. I was very grateful to Dr. Muzaffar and the staff for this. THEY UNDERSTOOD.

I was treated with the upmost respect and consideration for my illness. I was well taken care of. I greatly appreciate every one of the staff members at Novant.

I could tell that everyone that works there enjoys their job and definitely cares about each and every patient. I just hope we can get down to the bottom of what’s causing my issues.

Dr. M and all the staff were very Professional and polite. This is a great practice because of them. That is why I travel two hours each way to be seen by Dr.M.

I had several questions I wanted to ask, and the doctor patiently answered them. He also checked my recent blood test and warned me that my vitamin D level was elevated so I should discontinue taking vitamin D.

Staff was very professional and nice to me. I know Dr. M. Is doing the very best to help me, with what he has to go on, actually sends me notes with the lab tests that come in. Looking forward to him being the one to find out what is going on with my body . He doesn’t make you feel like you have to hurry up, he listens to what I have to say, and tells me what and why. ( And this was my impression of the 1st visit)!

I know I have the right to choose any physician but I wish this one would be more interested in what I say and how I'm feeling. It's like you not suppose to have aches and pain with your medical condition .

Novant Westgate Rheumatology (I am sorry if I didn't get the full correct name.) is fantastic. I have had consistent, excellent care since I have been going to this practice (and the Specialty Pharmacy!) . The staff, from the front desk to the phlebotomists are aways professional, nice, make it easy to approach or ask questions, find appointment times that work well, have pertinent information, are discreet, and actually help in getting any information a patient may need. The nurses are very easy going and calm (unlike a former rheumatologist I saw). They make it easy to talk to them and do not rush, but don't use up needless time. **This is important! This office's staff (and doctors) understand the patient and how they feel - how it may take a few extra seconds to figure out how much pain a patient is in. Other practices (Baptist, and I unfortunately had to use them last year) call you "honey" and "dear" and rush you through your check-in, and tell you "Oh, it don't (sic) matter if you don't finish all the paperwork now, you can get to it later." And then tell the doctor "Well, I don't know what he was doing all that time in here. He should have finished by now." (And she had taken the papers with her when she left. And I filled out the paperwork online ... You see, Novant is the*OPPOSITE*! OK, The doctors NEVER shake/crush your hands, whether it is when they enter the room or have to examine you. The doctors actually listen when things are working AND when things aren't. I just started a new medication and explained how I was doing to my doctor. He adjusted my care, tailored to ME. This is related. The rheumatology office and Specialty Pharmacy work so well together. BOTH are TOP MARKS! They do what a doctor's office is supposed to do: be there for the patient/be their advocate. Until this practice (and Dr. PERROT at Salem Family), my family and I have always had to call the insurance company/write letters/follow up with the insurance company/doctor's office/drug mfg about getting certain medications. With this rheumatology office and specialty pharmacy, they do it for us! They should all get raises. If you can't, PLEASE put a copy of this review in each person's file not only at the rheumatology office but also at the Specialty Pharmacy. I want them to know how much they mean to my family by being good at their job. I know I didn't word that correctly, but I think they will know what I mean when I say that by doing their job well, they make our (my family's) life so much easier. We spent literally decades with Accredo. Each month, my wife and I spent hours (actual time with phone in waiting queues for hours on and off speaker) waiting in queue or on hold for EACH medicine we each had to fill through ACCREDO. That is also why Specialty Pharmacy gets 10 out of 10. And would I recommend Novant Rheumatology to someone else? YES!!!! My daughter has RA/psoriasis. I would never, ever bring her to a practice I did not have full confidence. She has epilepsy. We went through many doctors who would not listen to us or even look at visual pre-seizure symptoms. I promised her I would never knowingly take her to a doctor/practice I did not fully trust I hope you can understand what that means to us in how GREAT of a practice this is . Thank you!
