I grew up helping my father, who was a veterinarian. After a short time in veterinarian school, I realized my real desire was to take care of the pets' owners. I love working with my hands and building things, so orthopedic surgery was a natural fit.

I understand risk factors in performing my survey, but at some point, surgery is necessary to prevent further risk factors from increasing. The 90 seconds Dr McCoy spent with me didn't give me any opportunity to discuss other options and treatment plans we can try to help me meet my goal of getting my knee fixed.
