From the time I was a little girl, I always knew I would work in medicine. I started helping my grandparents with their insulin shots and checking their blood sugar levels at the age of 8 years old. As I got older, I helped coordinate their doctor visits and helped guide them through hospitalizations. I continued to help with the management of their chronic conditions and after they passed, went on to do the same for my mother.
