Growing up in Nanjing, Jiangsu province, China, I was born into a medical family; both of my parents were physicians. My path into medicine began with a moment of curiosity: pulling my father's book on human anatomy from the bookshelf. From that point forward, I knew I wanted to follow in my parents' footsteps and pursue a life dedicated to science and patient care.
