tThis was my second time seeing a dermatologist, and I must say that I was treated with respect and dignity. My concerns were listened to, and I was given pertinent information about my issue and then referred so that my specialized treatment could continue. I felt as though they were treating a family member; the doctor and her nurse that serviced me are assets to Novant Health.

It took a long time to get on the appt sch., and my hair loss worsened, but they made me feel heard & as safe as I could be revealing the loss. I know it’s not going to be a quick or easy fix but as of right now I feel good about this office. Dr. Melinda was great, as well as her staff.

Dr. Asfa was great! She took one look, knew what condition I had and what to do. She explained how to use all all of the medications she was prescribing and understood women of color may react differently to medications. She was thorough and her assistant took amazing notes that I reference everyday.

Ms. Asfaw is a great clinician AND teacher. I always feel like she knows me well.

This was a follow-up visit for a spot on my nose. Melinda quickly decided to biopsy this spot, since it got a bit larger in the last two months, even with my giving it extra treatment. Melinda explained the procedure, a paused each step to check in with me. She provided aftercare protocol and answered a message I sent in My Chart first thing the following morning. I know results will be available in about 14 days.

This provider felt that I needed a provider that was also a physician and she gave me a referral!

Not much was done to gain information in order to result in an accurate diagnosis. You're "mental" was a pretty quick diagnosis.

My doctor was amazing and when my medicine was over priced she made sure she called in a different medication that suits what I could afford. Thank God for her!

The doctor and entire staff at the NOVANT Huntersville Dermatology were all wonderful to work with. This was my first visit ever to a dermatologist, and the doctor thoroughly explained everything to me and I felt at ease and comfortable with the entire visit.

Love my doctor. She is very thorough making sure you understand .

Efficient and explained all treatments.

No updates about provider running 30 minutes behind. Had to send a MyChart message the next day regarding notes being finished and medications being called in. My appointment was at 2:45p the medications should have been called in at least.

I have to stay up with my follow ups. She’s very thorough. I enjoy going to her.

Excellent care

M. Asfaw is wonderful and I am so happy she is back with this group! However, it takes months and months to get an appt. with her to discuss one thing and impossible to discuss several things of concern in one appt. In Dermatology nothing is quick and easy and time is needed to discuss. Some things need to be yearly checks, such as skin & mole checks, and that can take up one slot time alone.

I was late due to heavy traffic (15-20 minute delay). They worked me into the schedule which was truly appreciated.

I got in the next day for an issue I waited way too long and shouldn’t have waited. The Dermatologist was so helpful and I now feeling back to normal!!

I really appreciate the personal interest in my care, and the how Melinda took time to explain every detail to make sure, I understood her instruction.
