My interest in medicine started early, during introductory chemistry classes in high school. That curiosity led me to the North Carolina Governor's School program during my junior year, which deepened my love of the sciences. After spending time shadowing at a local community health clinic where the mission was "people caring for people," I knew that nursing was the perfect combination of science and working with people.
