My child's pediatrician doesn't work Tuesdays or Thursdays, but I got a same day appointment with Dr Thomas because I needed my son seen that day. He was wonderful! He listened to my concern about my son's breathing and gave me his professional opinion and advice. I totally agreed with him and he told me that if my son got any worse to let him know right away and he would order more tests. With the antibiotics that he prescribed, I am happy to report that my son is getting better! I recommend MCC to all my patient's (I'm a nurse at an OB/GYN office) that live near Matthews. Never had a bad experience (my 21 year old and 18 year old went there as well).

Dr. W Thomas is extremely nice and patient with babies. He made sure our sick son feel comfortable and relaxed when he checked him.

I can’t thank Dr. Thomas and his medical assistant enough for seeing my sick son when I was late. I was dealing with a domino effect of a sick toddler, a screaming baby and stop and go traffic. I called letting the office know I was late. I’m sure they could hear both of my kids screaming in the background. I inquired what the grace period was. When I arrived I had no idea if I was past my grace period or not and I was fully anticipating needing to reschedule. I could cry happy tears with finding out my sick son would still be seen. I was met with grace. I know my being late caused them to get home late. I work in healthcare as well, so I understand what it means when patients run late. Thank you for meeting me with grace, thank you for treating my son and thank you for hearing a frazzled, concerned mama.

Our family is grateful for Walter Thomas, MD, and the wonderful care he has provided our youngest child over the past 16 years. He takes time to listen to every question and also includes both parents and patient in his thoughts, experiences, and diagnosis regarding what is best for Oliver's health. We will certainly miss him once Oliver turns 18 and moves on to an adult care practice.

Dr. Thomas is always very courteous and informative. He always listens to concerns and follows up when he says he will. We moved about 40 minutes away but I still take the drive anytime I feel my child needs to be seen as I know we will be provided exceptional care! Thanks Dr. Thomas for all you do !
