I had developed a very painful UTI the night before and called them the next morning. The desk said it would be better to make an appointment so I could be seen quickly. Ms. Wheatley was wonderful. She told me what was going on and prescribed the pain and antibiotics need. She seemed to really care about me.

Marie Wheatly, FPA, was absolutely outstanding. She was professional, extremely knowledgeable, personable, comprehensive in her exam. She is an outstanding addition to the Oceanside Family Medicine team. I trust her explicitly.

I was very pleased how this provider respectfully listened to me as a RN talk about my medical diagnosis. She was an active listener, she asked questions about my health, work, work life balance and next steps after experiencing a mini stroke. She offered physical and occupation therapy. We looked over my medication profile together for reconciliation and she made changes to my medication that made sense. She adjusted my medication and gave me an appropriate follow-up appointment. She reviewed my labs for my insurance company and helped me to know my numbers. She review my blood pressure logs on my cell phone I showed her. This Healthcare provider gave me an excellent, remarkable patient experience and I left the office feeling like she really cared about me as a patient. She also talked to me and told me I was a good nurse and patted me on the back because I know she knew I was a little down on myself. I was going to be a nurse practitioner and if I could be one, I would want to be like her. When I got home my family asked me how my visit was and I was happy to give them a good report. Now I just need a little time to pull myself together and hopefully get another job and continue my profession as a nurse. Thank you Novant!

If my regular doctor doesn't come back to work (though I pray she does), I would definitely go to Ms. Wheatley. I should also note the lady from Lab Corp did the best job ever drawing my blood. No bruising! That's a first!
