I am the medical director of surgical oncology at Novant Health Cancer Institute, and co-director of the breast cancer program at Novant Health.

Having graduated with Alpha Omega Alpha honors from medical school, I am passionate about clinical research and have authored/coauthored many textbook chapters and peer-reviewed articles focused on breast and GI cancer.

Dr. Turk was very thorough in his explanation and answered all my questions. He made notes on printouts of my results and gave them to me along with printed materials containing more information on the subject. These were very helpful when I reviewed them later. His demeanor was calm, professional and positive, which is key when dealing with such a complicated and possibly scary diagnosis.
