Dr. Melo and the team were particularly helpful and understanding during my visit Thursday. I was able to make my appointment online at about midnight for later that same day, to discuss two unprompted and unexpected panic attacks I'd had the day before (something I'd never experienced, and the second of which sent me to the ER) and to speak with Dr. Melo about resuming treatment for anxiety, as evidently I needed to. I was very much still physically anxious following the attacks, even during leading up to and during the appointment, but the doctor and the team were understanding and very compassionate. I was able to get the medical advice and assistance I'd come for; the doctor agreed I should resume my prior prescription for anxiety medication, and also suggested reaching out to a cognitive behavioral therapist for additional assistance. I am grateful to already be taking steps toward better managing my anxiety thanks to the help of Doctor Melo and the team, so soon after those awful panic attacks.
