Dr Jose was exactly the kind of endocrinologist that every type 1 diabetics hopes for. She listened to my concerns and tailored how she approached resolving my issues to what kind of issues I had described and even gave me several options on how I would prefer handling certain changes to be made. She showed genuine interest and concern in my situation and how to best treat my diabetes and didn't try to talk over me or ignore my input to just deliver "by-the-book", "this is what medicine says to do"-type treatments for a disease where every person's body and diabetes is going to react uniquely to treatment and changes. She made me feel so much more comfortable in my appointment than past endorinologists I've dealt with and I am ecstatic to have her as my provider.

I had an amazing experience with Dr. Maria Jose in Endocrinology. She is incredibly knowledgeable and thorough in her approach. During my visit, she took the time to review my current medications and brought up important concerns that hadn't been addressed before. She also ordered the right tests to get a complete picture of what's going on with my health, which made me feel confident that I'm finally on the right track.I recently switched from Atrium Health due to an insurance change and was honestly a bit nervous, especially since my past experience there wasn't the best. However, after my appointment with Dr. Maria Jose at Novant, I can say I've never felt better about a provider. She truly took her time with me, never made me feel rushed, and listened carefully to my concerns.She is absolutely worth any wait time. I finally feel heard, supported, and in good hands with my care.
