For me, there is no field more exciting than oncology. The medical challenges are vast, but it is the unique relationship with the patients and their families which really drew me in.

I also enjoy being part of a team, which is why I serve on the Novant Health Breast Cancer Tumor Council. Dr. Crook listened to my concerns about continuing my prescriptions due to the side effects. She patiently discussed the pros and cons and ultimately left the decision up to me after giving me time to think about it.
