In high school we were given the option to take courses to become a certified nursing assistant as an elective. I wasn't sure I was even going to like it, but it turned out it was that class that made me pursue my Licensed Practical Nurse certification. While I enjoyed working as an LPN, I felt limited in where I could work, so I completed more schooling to first become a registered nurse, and then to become a Family Nurse Practitioner.

Stephanie Garcia is absolutely wonderful and one of the best medical professionals we've come across in a long time. She genuinely cares and wants to get you healthy and to stay that way. She is so personable and manages to treat you without making you feeling intimated, defensive, scared, or judged. She managed to get my very stubborn and "tough as nails" husband to be seen by her AND agree to take his needed medication, which says a lot. He refused to see any doctors for 22 years so that says a lot about her skills and person!
