In high school we were given the option to take courses to become a certified nursing assistant as an elective. I wasn't sure I was even going to like it, but it turned out it was that class that made me pursue my Licensed Practical Nurse certification. While I enjoyed working as an LPN, I felt limited in where I could work, so I completed more schooling to first become a registered nurse, and then to become a Family Nurse Practitioner.
