I appreciate the timelines of staff during my appointment and feel confident in my care with the doctor.

I was forgotten in the waiting room. I arrived at 2:30pm. My appointment was at 2:50pm and I finally went up to the reception desk at 3:25pm and asked if the surgeon was running late. They said no. I said I have been here since 2:30pm. They asked me what time my appointment was and I told them 2:50pm. They had forgotten me. Then I was called by the nurse and she had no idea why I was there. She asked if I was there for a recheck from Gallbladder SX. I was shocked. I had to tell her I had a Gastric Sleeve. She then said, ohhh Bariatric. By this time I was fuming. This has never happened before so needless to say I was a bit shocked.

Everyone from the receptionist, nurse and Dr Gavigan were absolutely wonderful. I am beyond thankful for the Dr's kindness before my emergency surgery. He explained everything and I felt safe and comfortable with concern about doing what was to create the best possible outcome.

Dr Thomas S Gavigan was very kin, understanding, and thorough. The visit wasn’t rushed. He took time to answer questions, listen to me, and review my recent scans. The staff was very kind and helpful.

Loved the professionalism of the surgeon. He even drew me a diagram to explain my condition in details. He is well educated, patient, and kind. He went above and beyond review my case and solutions.

You have got the worst phone system possible. I hung on hold for 2 1/2 hours and still could not get through to schedule the appointment. Your whole scheduling system is extremely poor. It’s clear you don’t have enough people to answer the phone. This cannot be too complicated to fix. The doctor was great but your appointment process is terrible. I will not recommend Novant to anyone you are clearly second class.

I was completely comfortable with Dr. Gavigan, and he provided a very thorough explanation of my condition. He took the time to make sure I understood the diagnosis and went above and beyond in his explanation. I would not hesitate to recommend him to friends or family.
