From the time I was a child, I never outgrew the "why?" phase. The human body fascinated me, and I needed to understand how everything worked and why. That curiosity only deepened when my youngest brother developed a seizure disorder as a toddler. Taking charge and providing aid came naturally to me, and I never once shied away from a crisis.

Pediatrics was always the right fit. I have been surrounded by kids my whole life: as the oldest of four children myself, teaching dance to little girls ...
