Dr Gilchrist is my family doctor literally he is my mom dr daughter's dr sister dr and I am finally able to call him my dr. What I admire most about him is when he entered the room he asked how I was doing when I asked him how he was doing with the brightest smile he replied amazing and went on to say how he loved his job and loved helping people and taking care of people. This being my 1st time seeing him let me know with his reply that I’m In good hands. How often does someone tell you they’re doing amazing and love their job? Doctor seemed kind of rushed. But I understand that is how it is these days. The nurse was kind and took her time. I did not love that the sick, coughing people were hanging out in the waiting room right next to those of there that weren’t sick. It would be great if patients could wait in the car until their room was ready like our pediatricians office does. And bring the sick people back quickly.

I have always felt like that my best interest was the main consideration regarding my health and well being.

Dr. G is the best! He listens closely, asks appropriate questions and gives useful information. He always gets back quickly with results.

Great patient care all the way through my only suggestion: allow the dr longer than 15 minute appointments. Every time I see dr Gilchrist he is attentive great compassionate but I can tell rushed and trying to move quickly to next appointment. I’m certain it is hospital protocol and I have family in the medical field and my uncle complains about the mandated 15 minute apt times. Not enough time.

Dr Steven Gilchrist, our Novant Family Dr is absolutely wonderful. He truly is our family Dr in every sense of concept. He listens, takes notes, uses his skill level to figure out what is going on…and then is extremely thorough in all that he does. My wife and I have total confidence in Steve.
