As a child, a traumatic event led me to be hospitalized for several days. I was amazed by the care I got, both the high-tech, scientific nature of it and the compassionate way it was given. Once I was sent home, I knew what I wanted to do with my life. Medicine is the perfect blend of the head and heart.
