My passion for science and a deep desire to help others led me to a career in medicine. That path brought me to breast surgery, a specialty I discovered during my first clinical rotation as a physician assistant student at the Novant Health Breast Surgery - Ardmore clinic, where I practice today. From that experience, I was drawn to a field that brings together surgery, oncology, women's health and compassionate, patient-centered care.

I've never had a PA or MD explain a process as well as she did. She explained all imaging and what they saw and why it was relevant. She was straightforward with explanations without making things scary and seeming cold/distant. By far the best experience I've ever had medically.
