I knew I wanted to be a physician since I was a small child. I was fascinated by hospitals and the mechanisms of the human body. Then, when I was in college and still in the process of figuring out the path I wanted to take, my father was diagnosed with bladder cancer. Watching him go through that experience and witnessing the care shown by his physicians guided me in the direction of oncology.
