Everyone was nice from the front desk through to the check out.

Dr John Gibson provided great medical advice.

I was extremely disappointed at my new patient appointment with Dr. Gibson. I am a medically complex patient & I felt I was not heard or listened to. No one reviewed my records beforehand, the MA had no idea what I was visiting for, and I felt the doctor was dismissive & had no interest in taking me on as a patient. When I asked for referrals, as a new patient to Novant, he declined to do so & pushed me off to a general practitioner. Having worked in healthcare management for 15 years, I am well aware that general practitioners are “gatekeepers”, however, I have never had an issue, ever, with a specialty physician declining to refer me for care that ties into my neurology care. He referred me to Wake Forest after stating that no one in Novant Neurology handled migraines or traumatic brain injury. I felt dismissed when I stated that I have a background in healthcare & he seemed to have no problem passing me off to other physicians so that he didn’t have to handle a medically complex patient. I came to Novant because I had worked there prior & felt that it was an excellent health system, however, I will no longer use Novant because I was so dismayed & disappointed with the appointment as a new patient.

The entire experience made me feel at ease and my concerns were acknowledged.

Dr. Gibson is very good at what he does. He listened carefully to everything I said and addressed all my questions. He was informative and helpful in his suggestions.

Dr Gibson was Very Rude. Didn't listen to my problem.He just said there wasn't anything he could do for me because he didn't understand the problem!I wouldn't ever see him again.If you value your clinic get rid of him¡!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When I arrive to my visit, the nurse took care of me asked me all the questions that I needed to be asked, and I try to answer everything as accurate as I can. When the doctor came in to see me, he asked me the common questions, and I try to answer as accurate as possible I felt as he wasn’t understanding me and wasn’t listening to me and instead I got referred to another specialist I left the appointment very dissatisfied with the service.

Provider showed no interest in my overall issue. I have neuropathy in feet and hands. He checked hands but did not check my feet or discuss options other than increasing the dosage on meds currently prescribed. I am 67 yrs old and have discomfort in feet and hands constantly. Thank you

Staff were so friendly,helpful; Doctor Gibson saw me on short notice and I felt he had my full attention during the entire visit; the Appointment Desk Receptionist was attentive & I feel she went beyond her duty to get me an early appointment due to my symptons elevated that day my husband called to get an earlier appointment; I am grateful for Dr. Gibson, and entire staff I encountered. The facility is very clean & comfy, plus the drink & snack machines are awesome.

At every visit I've had with Dr Gibson he has never answered my questions nor does he listen to me. He always seems to be in a hurry to finish the visit. He seems that he has something better to do than to see AND listen to me and to the issues I'm having. I'll not be returning to this practice I'll be looking for a new practice. I've also talk to some of his other patients and they have said the same.

This was my first time seeing a neurologist. I was pretty nervous leading up to the appointment, but was met with such friendly staff and a welcoming atmosphere. Dr. Gibson was so insightful and open to all of my questions. Thank you all for such a comfortable experience.

I visited Dr. Gibson for chronic migraines and a family history of FMD. He did not listen to my concerns, brushed off my symptoms, and questioned my family's diagnosis. He did not ask me any follow up questions about my migraines. I felt marginalized and unsupported by what was supposed to my healthcare provider. My visit with Dr. Gibson was a waste of my time. I will not visit him again and would not recommend him to anyone who needs any kind of healthcare.
