Dr. Thor Svendsen is the best there is. Kind, compassionate and knowledgable

Dr. Svendsen and his staff are always very professional and address all of my concerns with respect. Have been seeing Dr. Svendsen since 2008 and would highly recommend him and his team for their medical care.

Dr. Svendsen is absolutely amazing. He always makes me feel cared about and is such a great listener. He is so kind and patient, and I never feel like he's in a rush to get through the appointment. He answers all my questions, and he makes notes about what I'm saying for future reference -- which is unheard of as far as my experience has been with the medical community. He even followed up with me on my daughter, who had just been to her first appointment with him a few months ago. I can't say enough about how much I love him, and the practice is so lucky to have him!

Dr Svendsen is an excellent physician who combines his medical expertise with compassionate listening and treatment plans that are personalized to my complex medical history. Leigh, his long time nurse is a valuable asset not only in her support to Dr Svendsen but the practice. I have been a patient of Rankin since 1974.

The Dr is fabulous so 10/10 for him. The only reason for the lower scores/comments was the 1.5 hour wait. But I do understand if he’s pulled to a surgery that’s priority, so I guess that’s the expectation. I guess it would have been good to get a courtesy call to not arrive at 10:30 if I wasn’t going to be seen till 12. Thanks.

I wish Dr Svendson could be my doctor for everything. He’s honestly one of the only doctors within Novant that has treated me with the time, consideration and attention that a person deserves from their personal healthcare team. He cares about his patients and it shows every time I have an appointment with him. I truly feel like he cares about my overall wellbeing and not just checking off the boxes or meeting a patient quota. I’m thankful for his care and I hope he never retires.
