My grandmother was diagnosed with dementia when I was young. I was aware of her diagnosis and participated in her caregiving, which I loved and was honored to do. I also enjoyed being surrounded by the experienced, compassionate healthcare workers who took such good care of her.
From that experience, I knew I wanted to be involved in healthcare and provide the level of care and attention given to my grandmother.
