Early in my life, I required a surgery, and while it happened before I can remember, what I grew up understanding was how much my parents valued my pediatrician. He was always there to explain answers to any questions and medical concerns, and I knew they were reassured simply by his presence. That inspired me to become a pediatrician as well.
