My journey to becoming a physician began in childhood, when my sister passed away at a young age. Witnessing how she was cared for by the hospital staff and doctors left a lasting impression on me. Your providers need to slow down, give the patient time to ask questions. Old folks brains work slower. I just felt rushed and like my questions are not important.
