The nurse that brought me to the exam room never smiled even though the BP check, EKG and personal information name DOB etc.... Having already had bypass surgery and seeing your heart doctor, then a nurse that does not smile doesn't bring down the anxiety. Smiling goes a long way to easing the tension.
