My interest in and aptitude for science was the foundation for my pursuing a career in medicine.

But science isn't the only reason I became a physician. I also wanted to serve my community, and I love that aspect of my career as much as I do the scientific advances in cardiology. I provide patient-oriented care, which involves getting to know my patients on a personal level and working with them to manage their conditions together.
