During my recent appointment for urinary continence, the visit felt very rushed. While I understand and appreciate efficiency, I did not feel that the experience was personal or patient-centered. The doctor would enter the room without knocking, which made me uncomfortable and raised concerns about privacy and confidentiality.I was not aware ahead of time that I would be receiving a pelvic exam. When the doctor began giving instructions for the exam, it caught me off guard. I did not feel like I was given the opportunity to consent or decline before it started. Because I was unprepared, my anxiety was already heightened, and I felt tense throughout the exam. I also felt that there was not enough communication about what was being done, and the exam did not feel gentle. Overall, the interaction felt rushed and lacked clear explanation. At the end of the appointment, I was told I would be prescribed medication and was also given a bag of medications. However, I noticed that the medications in the bag had expired months ago. This further added to my concerns.Overall, I left feeling dissatisfied with the service and the overall experience.
