I am originally from Ethiopia and after completing medical school, I practiced as a general practitioner before moving to the US for further training.

I was drawn to cardiology as a medical student while caring for patients with valvular disease from rheumatic fever.

During my internal medicine residency in the US, I had the privilege to work with an amazing cardiologist who later became my mentor. He saw my passion and encouraged me to pursue training in Cardiology.

The Doctor was great. She sat down and went over my results, what the next steps should be, she got the thoughts and concerns about my health. She answered all my questions and even gave me some things to do at home and keep track of.
