I am originally from Ethiopia and after completing medical school, I practiced as a general practitioner before moving to the US for further training.

I was drawn to cardiology as a medical student while caring for patients with valvular disease from rheumatic fever.

During my internal medicine residency in the US, I had the privilege to work with an amazing cardiologist who later became my mentor. He saw my passion and encouraged me to pursue training in Cardiology.
