Serving others has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Volunteering at Big Brothers/Big Sisters and Global Volunteers has been an important part of who I am. Early in life I began to view a career in medicine as the highest service to others. That view led me first to medical school, and then to become a surgeon. The doctor had reviewed my file and was current on my condition prior to the visit

Dr. Culpepper all but ruled out a condition we were worried about, said he would be sure to watch for the radiology report and would call us if anything was different that we had discussed. He assured us, through the Fourth of July weekend, he was going to be on call and would be able to do surgery if it turned out to be needed, which was a huge relief.
