About
My father was a solo family doctor who started out practicing in rural Appalachia. He used to tell me about making house calls and delivering babies during blizzards. He grew up as a poor preacher's son, and he always had a soft spot for those less fortunate.
As I grew up, my dad become my hero, and I wanted to be just like him. I fell in love with medicine and worked as an emergency department RN before becoming a nurse practitioner.
