Dr. Kovacs is the best OBGYN I've ever been seen by. He is very compassionate, professional, and has a very friendly demeanor that puts the patient at ease. I appreciate how he listens very intently and offers options and advice that is very helpful, educational, and comforting. My best example of this is when he removed my IUD- I had a horrible experience with it being placed, and the provider who did it (not a Novant provider, by the way) was very apathetic, to the point that she did not seem to care that I ended up staying the night in the ER over it. Because of this, I developed a bit of an aversion to gynecologists. However, when it came time to remove the IUD years later, Dr. Kovacs listened and expressed genuine concern over the previous issues I'd had, and offered options to make my experience safer and more comfortable. Going to the gynecologist can feel like a very vulnerable thing, but he makes the experience much easier by making you feel comfortable, informed, and in control. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for an OBGYN!
