About

As a child growing up with epilepsy, I knew how scary that time was for my parents, and how the pediatric neurologist I saw always had a positive and reassuring attitude that made my condition less scary for all of us. I also grew up seeing how a stroke impacted my grandmother's life: I saw the economic, emotional and physical struggles that result from a chronic ailment. Both experiences influenced my decision to pursue a medical career.
