My grandfather was a professor at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). He influenced me - directly and indirectly - to pursue a career in healthcare.

I graduated magna cum Laude from Lynchburg College and was named to the Who's Who National Dean's List. I was also in two honor societies in undergraduate school - Phi Eta Sigma (for first-year students) and Pi Kappa Pi.

In graduate school, I was elected to MUSC's Honor Council and received a MUSC Interprofessional Education Fellows...
