I believe medical care should be more than one single encounter: It should be an ongoing relationship between a patient and a provider. That's why the specialty of obstetrics and gynecology is perfect for me, as it allows me to get to know my patients as individuals and to see them through so many stages of life. It also offers a unique combination of surgery and medicine, and I find the complexity of women's health intriguing.
