The MD was very thorough and straightforward. An orthopedist I previously saw about my knee arthritis blew me off when I expressed concern about having knee replacement surgery. He said, "I can work around that." I have lymphedema and did not feel confident about his response because of the risk of infection and cellulitis. When I mentioned this to Dr. Sandbulte, he agreed that knee replacement surgery would be too risky for me. I appreciated his honesty and the fact that he didn't opt for going after "the big bucks." Also, I had steroid shots in both knees that were perfectly placed and have helped my knee pain significantly.
